AO admission (comprehensive selection)
Entrance Examination Overview

This is a system that comprehensively evaluates your motivation to enroll, your personality, various abilities, and past activities.

Eligibility to apply
  • ・Those who have completed 12 years or more of formal school education in Japan or a foreign country, or those who have been designated as equivalent by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. (※1)
  • ・Those who have the school they are applying to as their first choice (multiple applications are not permitted).
  • - Someone who sympathizes with and aspires to the admissions policy of the school to which they are applying.
  • - Applicants whose Japanese language ability is deemed to be sufficient for studying at the school to which they are applying.
  • ・For students enrolled in a Japanese language school, those with an attendance rate of 80% or more at the time of graduation (after passing, submit proof before enrollment)
  • <You must meet one of the following conditions>
  • ・Those who have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2 or above, administered by the Japan International Education Association and the Japan Foundation.
  • ・Those who have obtained 200 points or more in the Japanese language section of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) (※2)
  • ・Those who have obtained 400 points or more on the BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test.
  • - Individuals who have received at least one year of Japanese language education at an educational institution that provides Japanese language education to foreigners, and which is designated as a Japanese language education institution by the Ministry of Justice or certified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
  • -Those who have completed at least one year of education in a Japanese elementary, junior high or high school.
  • *1 This refers to those who are recognized as stipulated in the "University Admission Qualifications" issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology based on the Enforcement Regulations of the School Education Act.
  • *2 Grades are valid for two years.

  • *If deemed necessary, a written Japanese test will be conducted.

  • Japanese language test
  • *The Japanese written test is at N2 and N3 levels.
  • *We cannot answer any inquiries regarding the results of your application.
  • *If you pass the selection process for the scholarship program, a portion of your tuition fees will be waived depending on the type of scholarship you receive.

Entrance Examination Overview

This system is open to anyone who wishes to enroll in the school they are applying to. It is also possible to apply to a four-year university at the same time.

<Exemption from written examination>
Applicants for general admission who have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2 or above, obtained 200 points or above in the Japanese language subject of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) (scores are valid for two years), or obtained 400 points or above on the BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test will be exempt from the written test upon submission of a certificate.
