AO scholarship admission (comprehensive selection)
Entrance Examination Overview

Selection is based on a comprehensive evaluation of the student's motivation to enroll, personality, various abilities, and past activities. If successful, a portion of the tuition fee will be waived as a scholarship student.

Eligibility to apply
  • ・Those who have completed 12 years or more of formal school education in Japan or a foreign country, or those who have been designated as equivalent by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. (※1)
  • ・Those who have the school they are applying to as their first choice (multiple applications are not permitted).
  • - Someone who sympathizes with and aspires to the admissions policy of the school to which they are applying.
  • - Applicants whose Japanese language ability is deemed to be sufficient for studying at the school to which they are applying.
  • ・For students enrolled in a Japanese language school, those with an attendance rate of 80% or more at the time of graduation (after passing, submit proof before enrollment)
  • ・Those who have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2 or above, administered by the Japan International Education Association and the Japan Foundation.
  • ・Those who have obtained 200 points or more in the Japanese language section of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) (※2)
  • ・Those who have obtained 400 points or more on the BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test.
  • ・Those who have received at least one year of Japanese language education at a publicly-listed or accredited educational institution that provides Japanese language education to foreigners. (※3)
  • -Those who have completed at least one year of education in a Japanese elementary, junior high or high school.
  • *1 This refers to those who are recognized as stipulated in the "University Admission Qualifications" issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology based on the Enforcement Regulations of the School Education Act.

Tuition reduction and exemption for international students

This system is aimed at those who have been active and achieved success in a wide range of fields, and those who wish to enter the school to which they apply with clear future goals. If you are deemed to be a suitable candidate, your tuition fees will be reduced or waived.

Eligibility to apply
  • ・Those who have completed 12 years or more of formal school education in Japan or a foreign country, or those who have been designated as equivalent by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. (※1)
  • - Applicants whose Japanese language ability is deemed to be sufficient for studying at the school to which they are applying.
  • -Those who can recommend themselves in terms of sports, hobbies, volunteer activities, studies, work experience, etc.
  • ・If you are enrolled in a Japanese language school, you must have an attendance rate of 80% or more.
  • ・Those who have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2 or above, administered by the Japan International Education Association and the Japan Foundation.

Entrance Examination Overview

This system is open to anyone who wishes to enroll in the school they are applying to. It is also possible to apply to a four-year university at the same time.

<Exemption from written examination>
Applicants for general admission who have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2 or above, obtained 200 points or above in the Japanese language subject of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) (scores are valid for two years), or obtained 400 points or above on the BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test will be exempt from the written test upon submission of a certificate.
